Antique Vintage Baby Wool Flannel Muslin Petticoat Underdress Christening Gown

Description

A winter time chemise or undergarment.  Bodice is made of muslin and skirt is made of wool flannel.  No closures apparent.   Perhaps for under a Christening gown?  There are multiple tears and stains.  The gown is machine stitched with French seams.  The original hand gathering stitches are still visible at waist and the hem is decorated with a line of fagoting and the  hem is lined with muslin and hand-stitched to inside.
