    Description

    You're looking at a very nice vintage cotton baby dress from the 1930's with a fancy collar, sleeves and front.  The front shows decorative stitching coming down from the shoulders and a delicate stitched design just below the front of the collar.  The collar and sleeve "cuffs" also feature decorative stitching.  The back opens at the neck with two buttons.  It's in good condition with no holes, marks or seam separations.  It does have a 2" tear in the back, as well as a repaired tear, both on the left of the photo shown.  It measures 14" long, 18" across the bottom, and 9" wide at the shoulders.  In cedar chest storage for many years, it shows some wrinkles, easily ironed out.   As evidenced by the tear and repair, the old material is probably not suitable for wearing, but as a classic collectible fancy infant gown, it's perfect for framing under glass to display.  It comes from a smoke free, pet free home.  Please examine photos to see the fine stitching.  Thanks for your interest   86
