Vintage 1940s Effanbee's Anne Shirley Little Lady Bride 15” Composition Doll. This vintage composition doll is 15 inches tall and was made by Effanbee in the late 1930s or early 1940s. She has tin sleepy eyes that were no longer used during WWII, dating her sometime between 1939-1942. She has a brown mohair wig, sleepy tin eyes with all of her lashes, painted lower lashes, multistroke brows and a closed rosebud mouth. Her eyes open and close as they should. Her composition is in excellent condition, with virtually no crazing, chipping or cracking. There is one small crack beside her right eye socket. She has all of the fingers on both of her hands. She can stand and balance independently. She is dressed in a white satin wedding dress with ribbon tied sleeves and a ruffled hemline. She has a wrist corsage of white flowers tied to her right wrist. She has a beaded chapel cap with lace trim and a cathedral length tulle veil. There are a few small holes in the tulle netting of the veil. Underneath the doll is wearing a netting petticoat and white panties, socks and shoes. Her shoes do not match. She is marked EFFANBEE ANNE SHIRLEY on her back. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
