Vintage 50s or 60s ? sternberg knit romper boys blue virgin orlon
Descripiton
:  Up for auction is this Vintage 50s or 60s ? sternberg knit romper fot infant boy.  It is knitted in white and baby blue with a very soft yarn - the tag indicates it is virgin orlon. There is a band across the chest with small green decorations (not very distinct, could be attempt to illustrate clover or trefoils).  3 pearlized buttons on upper left shoulder and 4 hidden snaps at crotch.  There is no tag on this item indicating size, but I suspect 6 - 9 months.   I'm sure it would look great for special photo, decoration, doll clothes, or a new addition to your collection.
Size :
no indication, but I suspect @ 9 - 12 months.  Approx.  16 inches long, 11 inches at widest point, and 7.5 inches at gathered waist.

Condition
:  Very nice used condition. No stains or tears.  All aspects of construction are in nice shape and do not show its age, including the elastic waist.

Ours is a smoke free home, but many of our items are purchased second hand and we do not know the situations where they have previously been stored.  If we notice the smell of smoke, we do mention it under condition.
